For 29 seasons, the Dublin Arts Council has entertained ears and promoted local music with their Sundays at Scioto Concert Series. The performances take place every Sunday (through July 29 – unless otherwise noted) at 7:00 p.m. at the Scioto Park Amphitheater (7377 Riverside Drive, Dublin, OH), and each week there is a concert for different musical tastes.
The series kicked off on June 10th with Eric Gnezda and Friends, who played a mix of country, folk, blues, and adult contemporary numbers, and Soul Kitch'n brought the funk on June 24th. Unfortunate weather conditions caused the June 17th (The Floorwalkers) and July 1st (Swing’s the Thing) performances to be cancelled, but that has not damped the season’s schedule. This Sunday (July 8th), the Hadden Sayers Band will grace the stage with their bluesy tunes.
Remaining performances include:
- July 15th – Jared Mahone
- July 22nd - Enrique Infante and Dejavu Latin Fusion
- July 29th – British Invasion
Guests are invited to arrive at the park early, with blankets, lawn chairs, and / or picnic items in tow. Sweet treats from Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams will be available for hungry attendees.
The Sundays at Scioto Concert Series is free to the public, but donations are accepted. Proceeds benefit the Dublin Arts Council.
