What started as a small, one-day fundraiser in 1982 has since become a two-day celebration of timeless transportation. The Arthritis Foundation Classic Auto Show and Cruise-In will commemorate their 30th year  on July 6th and 7th at the Dublin Metro Center. The weekend will feature new and returning activities, and as mentioned in last week's blog, will be held in conjunction with the Dublin Art Fair.

To mark this milestone, a couple of new happenings have been added to this year's schedule. The Rolling Legends Tour will be held on Thursday, July 5th (registration begins at 12, the tour leaves at 1). This driving excursion will begin at the location in Dublin and continue to Fly Horse Farms, where the Juvenile Arthritis Kids Camp is being held. Participants will have an opportunity to tour the facility before heading back to Dublin. Another addition is the special General Motors exhibit. A tent holding 12 GM cars ranging from the early 1900s to today will be on display.

The annual Cruise-In will take place on Friday. It will feature over 1,500 cars from more than 20 states. Saturday's Auto Show will have 50 judged classes of cars including Show-Within-A-Show groups (made up of vehicles from local and regional car clubs).

The Show will also have food, vendors, and musical entertainment. Returning favorite Phil Dirt and the Dozers will entertain guests on Friday night at 7:30. The Van-Dells will close out the weekend with a show at 6:30 on Saturday.

General admission to the Arthritis Foundation Auto Show and Cruise-In is $10. Children under 12 are free. For a complete schedule and registration information, visit the event website: http://www.arthritisautoshow.com/.
