According to the Association for Wedding Professionals International, peak wedding season falls between May and October in most of the U.S.

During the winter, the number of weddings throughout the country declines by 40% to 50% below that of peak season, says Richard Markel, the president of AWPI. And of the roughly 2.2 million weddings that take place in the U.S. each year, only 5 percent occur in January.  So what are the “brides-to-be” doing in the winter? Planning.

Venues, flowers, food, dresses, invitations, music; there are quite a few factors that can take a big chunk of your time and wallet if you aren’t careful. That’s where the Dublin OH Convention & Visitors Bureau can help Central Ohio engaged couples sort out the following:

  • Hotel accommodations for your guests (Dublin offers 15 hotels--all centrally located in northwest Columbus)
  • Ceremony and reception locations (ranging from ballrooms to historic sites and attractions)
  • Rehearsal dinner venues
  • Off-premise activities for the wedding party
  • Suggestions for area attractions and activities for wedding guests
  • Wedding vendor referrals

If you are in the process of figuring out the details be sure to check out some of the bridal shows in the Columbus area:
