Who is the DCVB?

The Dublin Convention & Visitors Bureau is a group of professionals that live, breathe and eat all the wonderful things there are to do in Dublin, Ohio. We love to share our city with the world -- showing guests fantastic places in our town.

Team

Scott Dring, CDME, APR, CTA

Executive Director

Scott joined the Bureau in 2001 and brings more than 30 years of experience in the travel and tourism industry. He has served in senior-level positions for the Ohio Tourism Division, the Kissimmee (Fla.) Convention & Visitors Bureau, the Travel Industry Association of America and Paul Werth Associates in Columbus. He currently serves in leadership roles with the Ohio Travel Association, Destinations International, Dublin City Schools Business Advisory Council, Franklin County Facilities and Convention Authority, Dublin Youth Athletics and Crohns and Colitis Foundation. He has received the Certified Destination Management Executive (CDME) designation from the Destination Marketing Association International and is a recipient of the Paul Sherlock Award – the highest honor in the Ohio Travel and Tourism Industry. Scott received a BA in Journalism from The Ohio State University and currently resides in Dublin with his wife and three children.

Pat King, CTA

National Sales Manager

Pat King is the National Sales Manager at the Dublin Convention and Visitors Bureau. With more than thirty years in the hospitality industry, developing strong relationships is the foundation of her proficiency. Pat’s prior experience includes sales and marketing positions with both Hilton and Marriott International. Pat has worked in the Dublin hospitality market for almost two decades, and she most enjoys helping meeting planners find the best location in the city to host their conferences or events.

Joshua Bricker, CTA

Sports & Leisure Sales Manager

Josh arrived at the Bureau in December 2002. Prior to that, he worked for the Chase (Woodfin) Suite Hotel in Dublin as the sports & leisure group sales manager. Josh has past group/corporate sales experience at Dave & Buster’s in the special events department. Josh received a BS in Consumer Affairs from The Ohio State University and currently resides in Delaware with his wife and two daughters.

Sara Blatnik, CTA

Marketing Director

Sara joined the Bureau in May of 2013. Prior to the Bureau, Sara worked for the State of Ohio in the Travel and Tourism division as the Marketing Coordinator. She is a graduate of the University of Kentucky where she earned her degree in Marketing and Advertising. Sara was the recipient of the Ohio Travel Association's 2016 Ohio Travel Industry Emerging Leader Award.

Meg Berno

Marketing Coordinator

Meg has been with the Bureau since March of 2019. Before joining staff, Meg worked as the Public Relations Coordinator for TourismOhio where she managed the State’s publishing contract and content development team. Meg earned at BA in Strategic Communication from Miami University and lives in Downtown Columbus with her husband Chris.

Katie Rich, CTA

Visitor Experience Specialist

Katie joined the Bureau in August, 2000. She graduated from Dublin (Coffman) High School and earned a B.A. in English from Centre College. A Dublin resident for over 30 years, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.

The Dublin Convention & Visitors Bureau offers complimentary services to event planners, group tours and sporting events including:

  • Free consultations to determine your needs.
  • Coordination of the bid process with hotels and meeting sites.
  • Scheduling site visits to hotels and meeting sites.
  • Planning assistance with off-premise activities, attractions and special events.
  • Assisting with program development and speaker selection.
  • Offering presentations to your board or committee.
  • Assisting with selecting sites for spouse/guest and children's activities.
  • Providing visitor information for out-of-town guests.
  • Providing Discover Dublin Discounts for teams/groups staying at a Dublin hotel.
  • A Visitor Center in the heart of the Historic District.
