Kwanzaa is a 7-day celebration that honors community, family, and heritage of African American culture and African traditions. Kwanzaa comes from the Swahili word that means “first harvest” and is based on the principles of Nguzo Saba. Ohio History Connection and TAWI Family Village will present two evenings of Kwanzaa that will feature music, dance, storytelling and hands-on art activities.

The events at the Ohio History Center with be part of events that are taking place throughout the community. Activities at the Ohio History Center will only be held on December 29th and December 30th. The program is free but advance registration is recommended.
