Gaze at a fern. Investigate a pinecone. Though these patterns look visually complex, they organize themselves using simple mathematical rules known as fractals – a pattern that repeats at different scales. Three new public artworks, Fractal boxes, have been installed in Dublin parks, offering free fractal art activity booklets that introduce explorers to the stress-reducing properties of natural patterns.
