Visit Dublin enhances the Quality of Life for area residents by attracting visitor spending, consumer interest and entrepreneurial investment into the community.
Who is Visit Dublin?
Visit Dublin is a group of professionals that live, breathe, and eat all the wonderful things there are in Dublin, Ohio. We love to share our city with the world -- showing guests fantastic places in our town.
Marketing:
- Create and promote Dublin’s Destination Brand showcasing the city on a global stage
- Generate awareness of Dublin as a statewide, regional, national and international destination
- Establish award-winning campaigns and programming that raises awareness of Dublin’s travel and tourism product
- Establish Visit Dublin as the expert resource for visitor and resident information
Sales:
- Attract business meetings and trade shows that generate economic impact and jobs for the city
- Secure regional and national athletic events that support local hotels, restaurants and small businesses
- Generate new business leads for Dublin’s hospitality industry
- Secure Bus Tours from the state and region
Dublin Community:
- Support Visit Dublin’s primary audience – Dublin Residents
- Serve as a community leader aligning efforts with the City of Dublin’s mission
- Serve as the voice and primary advocate for Dublin’s Hospitality Industry (hotels, restaurants, retail, events)
- Collaborate with various Dublin organizations for the betterment of the community
Organizational Structure:
- Founded in 1988 serving as a private, non-profit 501(c)(6) organization
- Known in the industry as a Destination Marketing Organization (DMO)
- Led by 23 volunteer Board Members representing the Dublin business community and four full-time staff members
- Funded by Dublin’s hotel bed tax and private partnership revenue
More than 4,000 Destination Marketing Organizations (DMOs) exist worldwide and Visit Dublin is among the elite 6 percent that hold international accreditation.
Team:
Scott Dring, CDME, APR, CTA President & CEO
Scott joined Visit Dublin (previously Dublin CVB) in 2001 and brings more than 30 years of experience in the travel and tourism industry. He has served in senior-level positions for the Ohio Tourism Division, the Kissimmee (Fla.) Convention & Visitors Bureau, the Travel Industry Association of America and Paul Werth Associates in Columbus. He currently serves in leadership roles with the Ohio Travel Association, Destinations International, Dublin City Schools Business Advisory Council, Franklin County Facilities and Convention Authority, Dublin Youth Athletics and Crohns and Colitis Foundation. He has received the Certified Destination Management Executive (CDME) designation from the Destination Marketing Association International and is a recipient of the Paul Sherlock Award – the highest honor in the Ohio Travel and Tourism Industry. Scott received a BA in Journalism from The Ohio State University and currently resides in Dublin with his wife and three children.
Joshua Bricker, CTA Sports & Leisure Sales Manager
Josh arrived at Visit Dublin in December 2002. Prior to that, he worked for the Chase (Woodfin) Suite Hotel in Dublin as the sports & leisure group sales manager. Josh has past group/corporate sales experience at Dave & Buster’s in the special events department. Josh received a BS in Consumer Affairs from The Ohio State University and currently resides in Delaware with his wife and two daughters.
Leslie Rummel Head of Marketing & Communications
Leslie Rummel is a strategic communications and brand engagement leader with more than two decades of experience developing and executing creative programs that build cultural relevance and measurable value. Prior to joining Visit Dublin, she held leadership roles at some of New York’s most renowned agencies, where her client work spanned diverse industries, including fashion, travel, spirits, wellness, and food and beverage. Her experience includes launching restaurants and hotels, brokering strategic partnerships for top fashion brands, creating large-scale consumer experiences for global retailers, developing arts-based programming for major spirits and coffee brands, helping travel destinations tell their authentic stories, and advising start-ups on scaling up in major ways. Leslie began her career as a journalist in South Carolina, now lives in the University District with her cat and partner, who is a professor at The Ohio State University.
Katie Thompson Marketing Manager
Katie joined Visit Dublin Ohio in July 2021 and now serves as Marketing Manager, where she leads the organization’s social media strategy and digital storytelling efforts. Passionate about showcasing what makes Dublin such a vibrant destination, Katie focuses on creating short-form video content that highlights the city’s events, local businesses, and community experiences. Originally from nearby Westerville, Katie earned her degree in Public Relations and Event Planning from Kent State University. Before joining Visit Dublin Ohio, she gained tourism and marketing experience with Destination Grandview and Columbus Hospitality. She is also a member of the Public Relations Society of America’s Central Ohio chapter. Outside of work, Katie enjoys tap dancing, baking, and cross stitching. Around Dublin, you’ll often find her grabbing lunch at Harvest Pizza or spending time with her dog, Marlee.
Missy Burkett Visitor Experience Specialist
Missy is the Visitor Experience Specialist and manages visitor interactions and fulfillment, the Dublin Visitor & Information Center, and administrative tasks for Visit Dublin. A graduate of The Ohio State University, Missy has lived in Dublin with her family for 21 years. They specifically chose Dublin as the place to raise their family. Missy comes directly from Dublin’s hospitality industry where she previously worked at Apricot Lane in Bridge Park.

- Scheduling site visits to hotels and meeting sites.
- Planning assistance with off-premise activities, attractions, and special events.
- Assisting with program development and speaker selection.
- Offering presentations to your board or committee.
- Assisting with selecting sites for spouse/guest and children's activities.
- Providing visitor information for out-of-town guests.
- Providing Discover Dublin Discounts for teams/groups staying at a Dublin hotel.
- A Visitor Center in the heart of the Historic District.
