DUBLIN, Ohio (March 16, 2026) —  A sea of green took over Riverside Crossing Park on Saturday as more than 1,050 Central Ohioans and visitors donned bright green ponchos and joined together to form a giant human shamrock, creating a festive, record-breaking moment during Dublin’s annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration.

Organized by Visit Dublin Ohio, the massive formation unofficially set a new world record for the World’s Largest Human Shamrock. The official Guinness Book of World Records record is currently held by the city of Dublin, Ireland, with 815.

“Dublin has always embraced its Irish spirit, and this was an incredible way to bring our community together to celebrate it,” said Scott Dring, President & CEO of Visit Dublin Ohio. “Seeing hundreds of people show up ready to be part of something special made this a moment we felt truly lucky to be a part of. ”

The successful record-breaking attempt followed Historic Dublin’s annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade, widely known as one of the Midwest's largest and most festive, which features marching bands, bagpipers, giant inflatables, leprechauns and community groups filling the streets with Irish pride.

Each year, Dublin, Ohio’s  St. Patrick’s Day festivities attract thousands of visitors celebrating the city’s long-standing connection to Irish heritage and culture while reinforcing its reputation  as “The Other Dublin.”
