A Scenic Riverfront Setting Steeped in History

Dublin Arts Council Exterior

Perched along the scenic Scioto River, the Dublin Arts Council is housed in a charming Colonial Revival home built in 1941. Originally constructed by attorney Charles Krumm and later owned by Eleanor and Andre Gelpi, founders of Swan Cleaners, the home became a hotspot for local arts and society gatherings. Eleanor, a trailblazing businesswoman and arts advocate, hosted countless galas and celebrity guests within its walls.

In 1999, the City of Dublin purchased the property, transforming it into a vibrant center for the arts. Now listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the building serves as both a gallery and a creative space for the community. The gallery is open Tuesday–Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Second Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
