Whether you’re looking for easy-drinking lagers or big, boozy stouts, you’ll find a wonderful mix of bars and restaurants in Dublin that are perfect for kicking back with a pint!
Getaway Brewing Co.
As a sister brewery to Seventh Son and Antiques on High, Getaway Brewing feels like an escape right in the middle of the city. The bar features bright wood accents and lots of greenery, all illuminated by natural light. We love relaxing in the sunroom with its glass ceilings or finding seats at the bar where we can see the giant diorama. In keeping with their theme, Getaway brews an internationally inspired roster of beers, like the Tuk Tuk rice lager or Ash Cave Schwarzbier. Their Italo Disco is marries Italian and Czech styles of lagers; it’s slow poured to create a rich, frothy head.

Market Bar
Located at the north end of North Market Bridge, Market Bar offers cocktails, wines, and beers to sip while you snag a meal from market vendors. Find it by just following the red neon sign to the bar! They always feature a great selection of Ohio brews on tap, including some exclusive beers brewed just for them from Nocterra and Barley’s, but I love Nocterra’s Beta Flash hazy IPA. It pairs perfectly with summer rolls from Lan Viet, plantains from Pablo’s Havana Café, lobster rolls from COLO Oyster Bar, and any other market find.

North High Brewing
North High Brewing’s location in Historic Dublin makes its home – appropriately – right on North High Street. The historic home features a full bar and multiple rooms; we especially love sitting on the patio during the warmer months while people-watching. We can’t say no to the burgers, tacos, nachos, and fish and chips – even more so when paired with their Honey Wheat lager.

Shawnee Station Kitchen & Taproom
We’re very fortunate that the team behind Toledo’s Maumee Bay Brewing decided to plant roots in central Ohio! Shawnee Station opened on Glick Road in the spring of 2024 as a full-service restaurant and brewery. Their dynamic menu allows you to choose winners like giant pretzels, wings, and smashburgers, or nicely crafted dishes like caramelized pork tenderloin, braised beef short ribs, and shrimp and grits. Shawnee Station favorites include the Buckeye Lager, Glass Hopper IPA, and Total Eclipse Breakfast Stout, but I love their Doppelbock when it’s in season.

101 Beer Kitchen
When it first opened in 2012, 101 Beer Kitchen was at the forefront of great restaurants with handsome beer lists, and they’ve kept up that reputation. I love their weekend brunch in particular, but it’s hard to argue with any of their upscale pub eats. And there’s always something new on draft, although you can't compete with a pint of 614 Lager from Wolf’s Ridge Brewing.

Urban Meyer’s Pint House
Not surprisingly, Urban Meyer’s Pint House in Bridge Park is a destination for all things sports-related! A veritable wall of TVs lets you keep up with every game while you sip on your favorite brews and savor easy-to-love eats like pizzas, burgers, nachos, and wings. They feature a lot of Ohio brews, including a special partnership with Saucy Brew Works; I always go for Saucy’s Juicy ASAP imperial hazy IPA.
