Stay in one of Dublin, Ohio hotels for a short and simple commute to one of the largest attractions in the area - the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. From the celebrated birth of Colo, the gorilla, to the emergence of "Jungle" Jack Hanna on the national stage, the Columbus Zoo's history is built on defining moments. These moments  - each animal's well-being innovation, conservation success, and awe-inspiring wildlife connection - have shared our community and the animal kingdom for nearly a century.

The Zoo rests on hundreds of acres of naturalistic wildlife habitats and is home to nearly 10,000 animals representing more than 600 species from around the globe.

Right when you walk into the Zoo, you'll hear our newest residents at  Adventure cove. They are loud and smell like fish. But they are oh-so-cute.! The sea lions and harbor seals at Adventure Cove have three exterior pools. You can view them from the ground level, above pools, and underwater, including a state-of-the-art, 60-foot-long curved submerged tunnel where you can see the animals swimming and play around you.

Stop by and visit the North America region where many of the animals were rescued from dire situations, like Strawberry the Alaskan moose and mountain lions, Captain Cal, Poppy, and Goldie, who were rescued after wildfires devastated their natural habitat.

Don't forget to stop by the Asia Quest region and meet Asian elephant calf Frankie and his family. And while you're there, meet Brian the greater one-horned rhino!

Grab your passport and join us as we visit the Heart of Africa region!  You'll see African lions, cheetahs sprint around the watering hole while zebras, wildebeests gazelles, and giraffes roam across the savanna. Kids of all ages can enjoy camel rides or come eye-to-eye with the giants of the savanna! Feed the giraffes lettuce right from your hand.

Dive into the depth of the oceans, explore the rocky coastline and discover animals that call different bodies of water home at the Shores & Aquarium region - like our nine West Indian manatees. Did you know the Columbus Zoo is one of only two facilities outside of Florida to care for manatees? Take a short walk and slither over to the Reptile House and snake your way through the different regions of the world where lizards, turtles, and other reptiles live.

There's much more to see, from the gorillas and bonobos to kangaroos, orangutans, red pandas, Amur tigers, and much more.

Join us for an adventure and expect the unexpected!
