RiverboxesTM are one-of-a-kind artworks inspired by the hobbies of geocaching or letterboxing. You can find them discreetly placed in Dublin, Ohio parks connected to the Scioto River, which runs through the city. Discover them by following written clues or by searching by GPS coordinates. Download your passport below and enjoy the adventure that awaits you in scenic places and amazing artworks with unique stories to tell.
Inside each artist-created vessel, you’ll find a logbook, an artist-created ink stamp and a journal to record your thoughts. There’s also historical and environmental information about the spot you’ve discovered. If you’re an experienced cacher, be sure to bring SWAG (stuff we all get) to trade. If you’re a beginner, bring along some small items and see what you can find along the way!
With 18 Riverboxes to track, you’ll likely need more than a day to find them all. Take your time, enjoy these hidden gems and complete your logbook by collecting the ink stamps in your passport. Bring it to Dublin Arts Council during the week to get your collectible, individually-numbered geocoin. Then register it online and move it to another location to begin tracking it around the world! If you’re a weekend traveler, no worries. You can mail your completed passport too. Directions are in the booklet.
